Please join us this summer for Level 1 Part 1 formation for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
Where: St. Dominic’s Academy, 329 Cliff Street, Honesdale, PA
When: July 23-29, 2017 and dates TBD for summer 2018 (both parts must be completed for certification as a catechist) July 23 12:30- 4:30pm, July 24-29 8:30 am – 4:30pm
Cost: $250.00 per summer (total $500.00 for both summers) This includes the national registration fee as well as a copy of the book The Good Shepherd and the Child: Joyful Journey, which is one of the required books for the course.

There are two other books required for the course: Listening to God with Children by Gianna Gobi and The Religious Potential of the Child by Sophia Cavaletti. We will be offering discounted prices on these titles.

Formation Leaders: Anne Pulsifer and Anita Vincent
Anne Pulsifer is trained in all three levels of CGS and has worked with children up through age 12 in an atrium environment since 2003. She is currently a volunteer catechist at St. Joseph Church in Spring City, PA, serving in both a Level I Atrium, as well as preparing children for First Eucharist. Anne is a certified CGS Formation Leader in both Level I and Level II and has been working in forming adults in this method of catechesis for the past 3 years. Anne is passionate about this work, its growth, and the children and adults that it serves.
Anita Vincent has been involved in CGS for fourteen years, and for seven years was the director of the CGS program at Grace Montessori School in Allentown, PA. She is also a certified Montessori teacher with several years’ experience at both the primary (ages 3-6) and the lower elementary (ages 6-9) levels. She is passionate about CGS and the implantation of it in various settings, including adult education. She was recently recognized as a Formation Leader for Level I, but has been involved in teaching adult courses with other Formation Leaders and for graduate level courses for a few years. She has a Masters in Pastoral Studies with CGS as the focus from Aquinas Institute of Theology, St. Louis, and is now a doctoral student in Church Ministry at La Salle University in Philadelphia. She lives in Bethlehem, PA with her husband and two boys, ages 15 and 9.
